Pinnacle Hills Promenade and Camp Alliance, Inc., a NWA non-profit that serves the Greater Military Family of the Guard and Reserve forces in our community, are once again hosting the popular “All American Freedom Festival” on Saturday, June 29, from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. This year’s event is presented by Liberty Bank.
New this year is the addition of the 142nd FiB Freedom 5K and 1 mile Fun Run/Walk. This is a FREE event to the community co-planned, organized and executed by the 142nd FiB Arkansas National Guard. Pre-register the whole family and tell your friends to run/walk with a soldier, as a soldier, as a service family, in honor of a soldier, to thank a soldier. Military vehicles and equipment will be staged throughout the Freedom 5K with opportunities to see the vehicles up-close. The Freedom 5K will start at 8:30 a.m. The 5K will be timed and organized by age/sex divisions. Certificates and prizes will be given at the awards ceremony to follow at 9:30 a.m.
Freedom Run event and T-shirts are pre-register pay only. The shirts will include a 142nd patch on the left sleeve indicating your participation in the Freedom Run/Walk event. To register and for additional information regarding the Freedom 5K – please go to www.campallianceinc.com
There will be live entertainment throughout the afternoon at the Promenade's Center Court, as well as a carnival of activities on the mall. New this year will be a Fashion Show at 11:00 a.m. near the Food Pavilion.
“Strike”, the Arkansas Naturals mascot will make an appearance between 11:00 a.m.-Noon, along with a baseball arcade game for children’s enjoyment available until 2:00 p.m.
For fun there will be a climbing rock wall, black ops obstacle course, mobile game unit, high striker, Cabela’s outdoor activities and demonstrations, petting zoo, face painting / glitter art, balloon twisting, Daisy BB Air-Gun range, bouncy house, vendor booths, shaved ice, cotton candy and more!
Pinnacle Hills Promenade retailers are offering military discounts during the event. Look for the patriotic window clings to designate which businesses are participating at the mall.
Plus as a fundraising effort, there will be an Enter to Win contest, to raise donations through Camp Alliance for local military families. Individuals will be able to purchase entry tickets for a chance to win one of 3 packages, which include: 1) Pinnacle Hills Promenade Merchandise Giveaway 2) Get-A-Way Package and 3) Cabela’s Outdoor Summer Fun Package. The more tickets purchased the greater the odds of winning!
