Sen. John Boozman is “awake and responsive” following heart surgery at a Rogers hospital, according to a news release from his office on Wednesday (April 23).
The 63-year-old Republican had surgery on April 22 after being diagnosed with an acute aortic dissection, the release states.
The 63-year-old Republican was taken to Mercy Medical Center early April 22 after suffering pain in his chest and shoulder. He had been in Rogers visiting family members. Boozman was taken to the hospital by his wife, Cindy, according to the release.
